The BMW Performance Steering Wheel is offered by BMW for any E9x cars with CAN-BUS. It should work with all 3-series and M3 models with all Transmissions variations. In addition to providing engine and water temperatures, the steering wheel has shift indicator lights, 1/4 mile timing, lap timing, sub-lap timing, g-force meter, etc. It's not accurate as it could be, but it's a great addition to the car.

E92 M3 6-speed. (Fully DCT compatible.)
Options:
Provided with the alcantara center hub, but that looked cheesy and didn't have the M3 logo, so I kept the original steering wheel hub.
Installation: be ready for a surprise.
The inststallation manual calls for 1.5 hours installation, but the
instructions have been changed and now require the installation of a new
steering wheel angle sensor. The new installation time is about 4-4.5 hours.
